Edwin Alan Crozier, 65, of Denton, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Denton Regional Medical Center.  He was born on September 14, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to Edwin N. Crozier and Phyllis Whipp Crozier.  He married Brenda Pearson on October 30, 1971 in Denton, Texas.

Ed was a 1969 graduate from Vandalia Butler High School in Ohio. He moved to Texas shortly after graduation. In the midst of taking care of his family and working, his determination led him to become a proud 1993 UNT graduate. He was an orderly at Flow Memorial Hospital before becoming an Engineer at Victor Equipment Company, followed by NEC America, and finishing his career as a Campus Tech for the Denton Independent School District. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church Denton and was a former Deacon.

Ed and Dana introduced our family to the Special Olympics about 35 years ago. Not only was he a father of a Special Olympian but also a volunteer, coach, and mentor to many. Special Olympics took them all over the United States and as far as Dublin, Ireland. In 2003, he received the "Volunteer of the Year" award.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday night from 6-8 p.m. for visitation.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Ed is survived by his wife Brenda of Denton, 4 daughters, Dana Crozier of Corinth, Denise Krueger of Hickory Creek, Dawn Chapman and husband Peter of Frisco, Delanie Scherpenisse and husband Edwin of Wichita Falls, grandchildren, Kennedy and Ryder, sisters, Linda Higgins of Denton, Karen Crozier of Denton, brother Chuck Crozier of McKinney, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the following: Texas Special Olympics, National Stroke Association, or Alzheimer's Disease Research.
